Declaration of Faith

Our foundational beliefs that guide our faith, worship, and service to God.

The Scriptures

We believe the Holy Bible to be the divinely inspired, authoritative, perfect, reliable, and inerrant Word of God. It is the complete revelation of God's will for salvation and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.

God

We believe in one living and true God, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are equal in every divine perfection and execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of humanity, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

God the Son

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught the truth. He suffered, died, was buried, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, and ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

God the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, who indwells, guides, teaches, and empowers believers. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He distributes spiritual gifts to believers for the edification of the church and the advancement of the Gospel.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This salvation involves regeneration by the Holy Spirit, justification by grace through faith, sanctification by the Spirit's power, and glorification in the presence of God. All who receive Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God.

The Church

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, associated for worship, work, and fellowship. The church is committed to observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in it by His Word, and seeking to extend the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

The Lord's Supper

We believe the Lord's Supper is a symbol expressing our sharing in the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ, a memorial of His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming. It is to be observed by believers until He returns.

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. Redemption is wholly of the grace of God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Last Things

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal joy of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked. God will bring the world to its appropriate end in His own time and in His own way.
